    Day 2 / Oct 21Arrive Beijing

    Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China. You will be greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. Relax or explore Beijing at your leisure.

    Explore the heart of Beijing from Tian’anmen Square – the largest public square in the world. Then visit the Forbidden City, standing as the largest existing ancient architectural complex in China, it will be sure to amaze you. In the afternoon you will visit the Wangfujing shopping area and the historic Chinese medicine centre – “Tong Ren Tang”. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Peking Duck Dinner. (B / L / SD )

    Day 4 / Oct 23Beijing (B / L / D)

    Spend an inspiring day at the Great Wall (Juyong Pass). Enjoy your walk along its ramparts, and absorb the breathtaking views. Then tour around the Summer Palace for an enchanting panorama of lake, landscape, pagodas, and pavilions. On the way back, have a closer look at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Stadium (the Bird’s Nest & the Water Cube). Enjoy a dazzling Beijing Acrobatic Show in the evening.  ( B / L / D )

    Day 6 / Oct 25Beijing ~ Xian (By High Speed Train) (B / L)

    This morning, take a Rickshaw Tour around the ancient alleyways of Hutong – one of Beijing’s 700-year-old traditional cottage neighborhoods. You can visit a family in one of the “Quadrangles”. After lunch,  you will have a very special experience on the China High Speed Train from Beijing to Xi’an. Dinner on your own on the train. ( B / L )

    Visit the historic Little Goose Pagoda and Big Goose Pagoda Square. Then visit Xi’an City Wall, which represents one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Chinese city walls.     Another unforgettable full day tour begins with the excavation of more than 6,000 Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses and Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Reproduction Factory on the way.     Today, fly to Lhasa to begin the adventure in Tibetan Plateau, see the spectacular views of 22,000-foot Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival, relax and adjust to being 12,000 feet above sea level. (B)

    Spend a full day exploring the mysteries of this sacred land at the “roof of the world”. You’ll visit Potala Palace, a towering 1,000 room structure and former living quarters of the Dalai Lama.     A spectacular drive along an old caravan trade route takes you through stunning glacial landscapes and high mountain passes to Gyantse via Yamdroktso Lake. In Gyantse, tourists will visit the famous Pelkor Monastery. (B / L / D)

    The highlight of your full day exploration of Shigatse will begin with a tour to Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the most exquisite in Tibet and the former seat of the Panchen Lama. Fabulous murals grace the inner walls of this elaborate temple complex – but the focal point is an enormous bronze Buddha, the largest in Tibet, which stands 86 feet high and contains over 600 pounds of pure gold.     Take a morning flight to Chongqing. You will have a city tour in Chongqing including Chongqing Zoo to see lovely Pandas and Huguang Guild Hall, a 200-year old architectural complex. Special Sichuan Style Lunch will be served. Free afternoon or an optional tour to enjoy the fantastic Chongqing by Night with Hot Pot Dinner.     Day 14 / Nov 02Chongqing ~ Dazu ~ Chongqing (B / L / D)

    After breakfast, transfer to Dazu County (2 hrs drive). Visit World Culture Heritage – Baodingshan Rock Carvings. The carvings on the Baoding Mountain are the largest in scale, richest in content and most refined in artistic skill. In 1st December 1999, it was listed as a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO. On the way back to hotel, you will visit Ciqikou Ancient Town. It shows you traditional Chinese architecture as well as give you a chance to sample delicious local snacks. You will also witness Liziba monorail passing through the building.  ( B / L / D )

    Day 15 / Nov 03Chongqing / Shanghai ~ Zhujiajiao (Water Village) ~ Suzhou (By Air) (B / D)

    Take a flight to Shanghai. China’s most populous city and seaport. Take an excursion to Zhujiajiao (Water Village) and take a ride to Suzhou, a city famous for its canals, stone bridges, and pagodas.

    Explore Suzhou Museum and the Lingering Garden ( an UNESCO World Heritage Site ). Tour the Pingjiang Road, a historical street that is located in the northeastern Suzhou ancient city.     Day 17 / Nov 05Suzhou ~ Shanghai (B / L / D)

    After breakfast,  return to Shanghai. You will visit the Xin Tian Di – replica of Old Shanghai, Shanghai Museum and People’s Square. You will be amazed at the beauty of historical architecture while walking along the “Bund”. Then tour Yuyuan Bazaar. You will visit Pudong Development Zone, a close look at the famous Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Visit the famous Nanjing Road shopping street. Huangpu River Night Cruise could be arranged as an optional tour at night ( US$50.00 pp pay locally ).  ( B / L / D )
